A thrilling thoroughbred auction held at a stylish summer garden party in Kensington Palace Gardens, nowhere is racing’s ability to marry business and pleasure more apparent than at Goffs London Sale. This is where the international racing community gather to kick off the most prestigious week of racing at Royal Ascot.
We look forward to offering a high class catalogue of horses with Royal Ascot entries, international racing prospects, breeding stock and breeding rights in this beautiful setting on Monday 17 June 2024.

There is no parking within the Palace grounds.

Please note there is no WiFi capability in the grounds of Kensington Palace although there is good 4G coverage.

Printed catalogues will be available at the venue.

The Auction
All eyes will be on the sales ring when bidding begins at midday. Goffs expect to catalogue approximately 20 horses for the London Sale, comprising horses in training with Royal Ascot entries, “cup” horses for the international market, shares in HIT, mares, foals and stallion shares.
Auctioneers
Auctioneers on the evening will be Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby and Director Nick Nugent. Henry and Nick are renowned international auctioneers with combined experience of over 50 years selling all over the world, including in the UK, Ireland, France, Dubai, Hong Kong, Australia and South Africa.
Bid spotters
Buyers can bid direct to the auctioneer or to the supporting team of Goffs bid spotters who will be positioned on podiums throughout the venue. Bid spotters are an integral part of the theatre of any Goffs sale as they shout their bids back to the auctioneer.
Horses/inspections:
Many of the horses catalogued will be available to view and inspect onsite from 3pm until 5pm. Horses In Training holding entries at Royal Ascot, as well as some international breeding stock, may be sold in absentia but can be inspected at the yards of their trainers in the days prior to the sale. Walking and race video footage of all Lots will be shown on the big screen at the sale and available to view on this website in advance.
